Sichuan University of Culture and Arts Takes Center Stage at China’s First AIGC & Digital-Intelligence Communication Conference, Unveiling Next-Gen Smart-Campus Achievements

December 24–28, 2025 – Communication University of China hosted the inaugural National AIGC & Digital-Intelligence Communication Conference. Yin Lujun, Secretariat member of the All-China Journalists Association; Luo Yi, Chair of the China Association of Journalistic Technologists; and Chai Jianping, Standing Committee member and Vice-President of CUC, delivered opening remarks. Speakers framed artificial-intelligence-generated content as the epoch-defining catalyst that has elevated digital-intelligence communication to a principal metric of media-sector modernization, urging delegates to harness the watershed moment for end-to-end content-production innovation and to accelerate China’s industry-wide digital-intelligence transformation.

The programme convened pre-eminent scholars from Communication University of China, Chongqing University and other Tier-1 academies with practitioners from Xinhua News Agency, People’s Daily and Zhejiang Radio & TV Group to chart the deployment of intelligent technologies across the media value chain.

Sichuan University of Culture and Arts (SCA) garnered plaudits for its enterprise-grade smart-campus architecture and data-driven cultural-outreach ecosystem. Gong Jing, Director of the Office of Big-Data Governance, delivered the sole keynote by a private-university representative; the peer-reviewed paper submitted by the SCA delegation received unanimous acclaim. Concurrently, Ms Gong was appointed Deputy Director of the AIGC & Digital-Intelligence Communication Committee under the China Association of Journalistic Technologists.

Her address, entitled “Art + Technology + Media: Digital-Campus Culture Pathways for Private Universities,” articulated an integrated framework that couples AIGC tooling with omnichannel storytelling, quantified impact metrics and a phased implementation roadmap.

Gong emphasised the university’s protocol of synchronising curriculum evolution with each inflection point in the technology hype-cycle, culminating in a lightweight, agile content-production paradigm underpinned by generative AI. The rollout of the proprietary IP “He-xi Mengbao” (Lotus-cutie Babies) and an AI-anchor newscast suite has normalised a youth-native narrative cadence, driving double-digit upticks in student engagement and brand amplification. The initiative retains frontier-tech credibility while foregrounding artistic expressiveness and emotional resonance, yielding a reference implementation that is both modular and transferable.

Where peer institutions remain at the proof-of-concept or white-paper phase, SCA has operationalised AIGC within live production environments, establishing a distinctive “art + technology + media” convergence track. The accomplishment foregrounds the university’s anticipatory digital posture and underscores the comparative agility of private higher-education actors in rapid-cycle innovation and field deployment.

Throughout the three-day exhibition zone, the SCA smart-campus demo attracted a steady throughput of delegations from sister universities, regulatory bodies and venture-backed technology firms. Domain experts concurred that the reference architecture furnishes an actionable template for comparable institutions and illuminates the under-exploited potential of AIGC in tertiary-level cultural transmission and brand equity construction.

Looking ahead, Sichuan University of Culture and Arts will deepen the symbiosis of generative AI with arts pedagogy and cultural communication—empowering culture through data assets and elevating the learner experience through intelligence augmentation. The strategic terminus is a digitally vibrant campus ecosystem that is instantly recognisable, affectively resonant and semiotically contemporaneous, exporting replicable “SCA playbooks” for the national educational digital-transformation agenda.
