In response to the national education digitalization strategy and to enhance teachers’ and students’ digital creative capabilities in the AI era, the special lecture Integration and Innovation: How Adobe Products Improve Design Effects and Efficiency and the inauguration ceremony of the Adobe Digital Art Education Innovation Center were successfully held on the afternoon of April 9 at the No.1 Conference Room of Wenchang Academy, Zitong Campus. The event was hosted by Sichuan University of Culture and Arts (SCUCA) and organized by the Big Data Department. More than 200 teachers and students from the School of Intelligent Digital Design, School of Digital Media, NetEase AI Industry College, and School of Cultural Technology attended the lecture, which was hosted by Liu Shuyuan, a student majoring in Broadcasting and Hosting Art from the School of Digital Media.

01.University-Enterprise Co-construction of the Innovation Center to Consolidate the Foundation of Digital Competence
At the event, Digital China (China) Co., Ltd. and SCUCA held the inauguration ceremony for the Adobe Digital Art Education Innovation Center. Ms. Li Xing, Adobe Education Industry Manager, awarded the plaque to the university, and Gong Jing, Director of the Big Data Department and Deputy Director of the Party Committee Publicity Department, accepted the plaque on behalf of SCUCA.
The center will focus on Adobe full‑suite tools, AI‑assisted design and 3D creation, and carry out curriculum integration, workshops and skill certification to help students transform from “digital user”s to “digital creators”.

02.Lecture Focus: From Tool Efficiency to Creative Thinking
The lecture was delivered by Huang Tongjiang, SE Engineer of Digital China and ITAT/CITT Design Engineer. He systematically demonstrated how Adobe products improve design effects and efficiency, and explained the approaches to enhancing digital competence from three dimensions:
Tool Efficiency Competence: Using Adobe Sensei and Firefly AI to realize one‑click cutout, intelligent color matching, text‑to‑image/vector generation, and automate repetitive tasks.
Workflow Optimization Competence: Combining real design positions to analyze the optimal human‑AI collaboration workflow, improving project coordination and output quality.
Full‑Ecosystem Integration Competence: Demonstrating the Substance 3D toolset and its linkage with Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, as well as Project Neo cloud collaboration, breaking the boundaries between 2D and 3D.

03.Interactive Q&A: Cultivating Digital Critical Thinking
During the Q&A session, students actively raised questions about the originality of AI‑generated content and the core competitiveness of designers. Mr. Huang guided the audience to develop “digital critical thinking”—technology is a lever, while aesthetics, emotion and strategy remain the core values of human creators.

04.Integration and Innovation for Sustained Empowerment
This event was not only a technical sharing session but also a practical awakening of digital competence. In the future, SCUCA will rely on the innovation center to continuously launch AI design workshops and certification programs, cultivating interdisciplinary digital art talents who “master tools, excel at collaboration, possess aesthetic sense and are capable of innovation”.
