Recently, the award and finalist list for the 17th China University Artwork Annual Exhibition has been officially released. A number of works by teachers and students majoring in Painting from the School of Fine Arts have stood out among numerous submissions and earned multiple honors.
Hosted by the Beijing Sino-Foreign Visual Arts Institute and the Organizing Committee of the China University Artwork Annual Exhibition, co-organized by the China Institute of Fine Arts and the China Institute of Design, and undertaken by the Chengdu Research Institute of the Beijing Sino-Foreign Visual Arts Institute, the exhibition received 4,861 valid submissions from universities nationwide. Following rigorous preliminary, secondary, and final reviews, only 16% of works were selected, and a mere 7% won first, second, and third prizes, reflecting the intense competition and high academic value of the event.
Since its launch in 2009, the China University Artwork Annual Exhibition has been successfully held for 17 editions and earned wide acclaim in the art community. It has drawn active participation from numerous universities across China, including the Eight Major Academies of Fine Arts.
Renowned for its rigorous review process, strong academic rigor and broad coverage, the exhibition stands as one of the most influential annual academic art events for fine arts programs in Chinese universities. It also serves as a key platform for evaluating the quality of art education and creative practice in higher education.

Dedicated to encouraging artistic creation and research among university faculty and students, the exhibition has become an integral part of art education reform in colleges and universities, and carries significant practical importance for the development of contemporary fine arts and design education in higher education.
